What I write
I write scripts for radio, TV and online. Recently I've written sketches and a radio sitcom called Charlotte & Lillian for BBC Radio 4. I've also got a TV script in development.
I love all aspects of pop culture, specifically TV, film and pop music, but also put my English degree to good use writing about books, creative writing and theatre. In particular I'm fascinated by how pop culture fits into a wider context, from psychology to feminism and technology.
I also write and edit copy for clients in the arts, charity and media sectors, specialising in clear, plain English however complicated or jargon-tastic the topic may seem.
My blog
What's the deal with blogs? Are we still doing them nowadays? I've updated mine very sporadically recently, but in the past I wrote weekly posts about the progress I was making on my book (until I didn't make much progress, that is), and used it like a commonplace book, adding quotes I came across or passages from books I liked.
